An Extended Look premieres
Twenty-seven minutes of gameplay captured in-game on a PlayStation 5, premiered on Netflix. The hands-off press previews from Rockstar North publish the same day.

An Extended Look announced
Rockstar announces its first gameplay presentation for 27 August - on Netflix at 3pm ET, then YouTube and the VI site at 9pm ET.

Pre-orders open, two editions
Pre-orders go live at midnight local time. Standard and Ultimate editions, the Vintage Vice City Pack for every pre-order, preload from 12 November, and a physical box that contains a download code.

Cover art revealed, pre-orders dated
Rockstar reveals the official cover art and announces that pre-orders begin on 25 June on digital storefronts and select retailers.

Delayed to 19 November 2026
The second delay. Rockstar sets Thursday 19 November 2026 and says the months allow the studio to finish the game with the expected polish.

Four days after the delay: Jason Duval, the story premise, the supporting cast and six named regions, with Rockstar's own bios and region copy published alongside.

Rockstar moves the game from 2025 to 26 May 2026, apologising that it is later than expected and saying the extra time is for the quality players expect.

Trailer 1 released, a day early
The reveal goes out on 4 December after a leak. Leonida and Vice City are named, Lucia is shown, and the game is dated 2025 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
