What it was
Rockstar's first gameplay presentation, announced on 6 August 2026 and premiered on Netflix at 3pm ET on 27 August before going to YouTube and the VI site at 9pm ET. Rockstar's one description of it: captured entirely from in-game footage on the PlayStation 5, showcasing the biggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet.
Why it is not Trailer 3
Rockstar has never titled it a trailer. The two trailers run 1:31 and 2:47; this runs 26:48 and is a gameplay presentation. Searches for a third trailer land here, and this is what they mean.
What it showed
How the game plays. The systems seen in it and in the hands-off previews that ran alongside it - the wanted level, the Criminal Profile, carjacking, driving, the couple system - are set out card by card on the Gameplay page.

Twenty-seven minutes with no narration and no set piece, just a slice of the world. Rockstar chose to show density over spectacle, and the bet is that the density is the spectacle.
