Rockstar's first gameplay presentation, announced on 6 August 2026 and premiered on Netflix at 3pm ET on 27 August before going to YouTube and the VI site at 9pm ET. Rockstar's one description of it: captured entirely from in-game footage on the PlayStation 5, showcasing the biggest, most immersive evolution of the series yet.

Why it is not Trailer 3

Rockstar has never titled it a trailer. The two trailers run 1:31 and 2:47; this runs 26:48 and is a gameplay presentation. Searches for a third trailer land here, and this is what they mean.

What it showed

How the game plays. The systems seen in it and in the hands-off previews that ran alongside it - the wanted level, the Criminal Profile, carjacking, driving, the couple system - are set out card by card on the Gameplay page.

How many people watched the GTA 6 Extended Look on Netflix?

31.1 million views in its first four days, 27 to 30 August 2026, by Netflix's own top-ten figures, making it the most-watched film on the service that week. Netflix had only a six-hour head start before the YouTube upload. Outlets count its country wins differently: Engadget says 58, Complex says 87 of the 93 Netflix tracks.

Fourteen have been identified, among them Birdman and Lil Wayne's "Pop Bottles", Kodak Black's "Skrilla", Def Leppard's "Love Bites", Depeche Mode's "People Are People", Phil Collins' "Against All Odds" and Cliff Richard's "Devil Woman". That is what was heard in the footage. Rockstar has published no soundtrack or station list, so none is confirmed for the radio.
