What we know

When was GTA 6 announced?

Rockstar confirmed the game on 4 February 2022, in one line at the end of a GTA Online community update: development of the next Grand Theft Auto was "well underway". No title, date or platforms. The name, the first trailer and a 2025 window came on 4 December 2023. That window has since moved twice, to 19 November 2026.

Is GTA 6 on PS4 or Xbox One?

No. GTA 6 is a PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S game, and Series S is included. Rockstar has named those two platforms in every announcement since Trailer 1 in December 2023 and nothing else. There is no PlayStation 4, Xbox One or PC version announced, and no cross-generation edition.

What are the GTA 6 PC system requirements?

There are none, because there is no PC version. Rockstar has announced GTA 6 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only and has published nothing about PC: no date, no port, no specification. Any minimum or recommended spec list for GTA 6 on PC is invented, whatever site it appears on.

The date has moved twice before: from 2025 to 26 May 2026, then to 19 November.
