Everything in excess

Vice City

We're a long way from the '80s, but Vice City is still the sun and fun capital of America.

What Rockstar says

Rockstar's strapline is Everything in Excess, and its description leans into the distance from the 1980s original: a long way from the '80s, but still the sun and fun capital of America. It describes the glamour, hustle and greed of America captured in a single city.

The neighbourhoods Rockstar has named

Four so far. Ocean Beach, with pastel art deco hotels and bright white sand. Little Cuba, with its panaderías. The Tisha-Wocka flea market, sold on its bootleg brands. And VC Port, which Rockstar calls the cruise ship capital of the world.

How big it is

Rockstar has published no figure. Reported figures from the July 2026 previews put Vice City alone at roughly twice the size of Los Santos, and Vice City with its suburbs at around eleven times Los Santos and its surrounds. See the map facts below for where those numbers come from.

Who is here

Boobie Ike is the character Rockstar places in the city: a local Vice City legend with real estate, a strip club and a recording studio. Dre'Quan Priest, in Rockstar's words, is setting his sights on the Vice City scene.
