Jason's friend

Cal Hampton

Coast Guard scanner on, browser tabs open, happy at the low tide of America.

“There are way too many birds flying around in perfect formation.”
Cal Hampton

Who he is

Rockstar introduces Cal as Jason's friend and another of Brian Heder's associates. He feels safest at home with a few beers, a scanner tuned to Coast Guard comms and some browser tabs he would rather nobody saw.

What he believes

The question Rockstar hangs on him - what if everything on the internet was true? - is the whole character. By Rockstar's account he is content that way: casual paranoia loves company.

Cal and Jason

Rockstar frames the two as friends pulling in different directions. Cal is happy at what the bio calls the low tide of America. Jason has bigger plans.
