Drug runner

Brian Heder

Golden-age Keys smuggler. Looks like a beach bum, moves like a great white shark.

“I hauled so much grass in that plane, I could make the State of Leonida levitate.”
Brian Heder

Who he is

A classic drug runner from what Rockstar calls the golden age of smuggling in the Keys. He still moves product through his boat yard with his third wife, Lori, and has been around long enough to let other people do the dirty work.

Brian and Jason

Jason lives rent-free at one of Brian's properties. The terms: help with local shakedowns and stop by for Lori's sangria once in a while. Cal Hampton is another of Brian's associates.

How Rockstar frames him

Looks like a Leonida beach bum, moves like a great white shark. The bio puts the danger in the second half of that sentence.

What are the Leonida Keys in GTA 6?

The Leonida Keys are a tropical island chain. Rockstar's strapline is that the dress code is casual and the bars are loaded, and it describes life there as easy rather than flashy, beside some of the most beautiful and dangerous waters in America. Jason and Brian Heder both start the story there.

"Life in this tropical archipelago isn't flashy but it's easy. Get your buzz on and pull up a deck chair but look out — you are right on the doorstep of some of the most beautiful and dangerous waters in all of America."

Are there boats in GTA 6?

Yes. Rockstar has named two: a Shitzu Squalo, a pink and blue speedboat docked at Washington Beach that it describes as fishing-ready and carrying a crate of explosives, and a Crest Kayak at Jason's safehouse. Both are Ultimate Edition items. Brian Heder runs a boat yard in the Keys, per his bio. No wider watercraft list has been published.

Who is Cal Hampton in GTA 6?

Cal Hampton is Jason's friend and a fellow associate of Brian Heder. Rockstar presents him as content with his casual paranoia: he feels safest at home with a few beers, listening in on Coast Guard radio, with some private browser tabs open. Cal is happy where he is; Jason has bigger plans. Rockstar does not say where he lives.

Who is Lori in GTA 6?

Lori is Brian Heder's third wife. Rockstar's bio for Brian says he still moves product through his boat yard with her, and that part of the deal for Jason living rent-free at one of Brian's properties is stopping by for Lori's sangria once in a while. She has no bio of her own.

Where does the GTA 6 story start?

In the Leonida Keys, with Jason working for local drug runners and living rent-free at Brian Heder's, and with Lucia fresh out of the Leonida Penitentiary. Rockstar's bios put both at a turning point: Jason thinking it might be time to try something new, Lucia committed to a plan no matter what it takes.
