Vice City Locations: Every District Confirmed So Far

A comprehensive guide to all the Vice City locations we've seen in trailers and leaks, from South Beach to the Everglades.

Vice City’s back and it looks absolutely mental. After 20+ years, Rockstar’s finally returning to their Miami-inspired playground, and from what we’ve seen, they didn’t just upgrade it - they completely rebuilt it from scratch.

The OG Areas Are Back (But Way Better)

South Beach: Still the Heart of Vice City

The neon paradise we remember, but with actually good graphics this time:

  • Ocean Drive: Those iconic hotels now look like real buildings instead of cardboard cutouts
  • Beach areas: Packed with tourists, street performers, and probably places to cause absolute chaos
  • Marina: Rich people’s yachts everywhere (guess where we’ll be stealing boats from)

Downtown Vice City: Skyscraper Central

The business district got a massive upgrade:

  • Proper skyscrapers: No more 2002-era building textures
  • Shopping areas: From high-end stores to sketchy underground markets
  • Transport hub: Trains, buses, ride-shares - actually functional city infrastructure

The Keys: Jason’s Backyard

The Florida Keys look like they’ll be perfect for lower-key criminal activity:

  • Fishing communities: Small-town vibes with probably not-so-small-town problems
  • Drug routes: Those mangrove waterways are perfect for smuggling runs
  • Abandoned spots: Ideal for stashing loot or having “conversations” with rivals

New Areas That Look Sick

Port Gellhorn

Brand new industrial zone that screams “criminal opportunities”:

  • Shipping operations: Containers full of… legitimate cargo, we’re sure
  • Underground fights: Because every GTA game needs illegal fighting
  • Black market central: Where the real deals go down

Grassrivers (The Everglades)

Finally, we get proper swampland:

  • Wilderness exploration: Actual nature that’s not just a texture
  • Wildlife encounters: Alligators that’ll probably eat your corpse
  • Hidden operations: Perfect for those “make someone disappear” missions

How Big Is This Thing?

Community estimates say the map is 3x bigger than Los Santos. That’s insane. If true, we’re looking at the biggest open world Rockstar’s ever made.

The detail level from trailer footage is nuts - you can see individual NPCs doing actual activities instead of just walking in circles. Little Havana looks authentically cultural, South Beach has that proper Miami vibe, and the contrast between rich and poor areas is clearly defined.

What This Means for Gameplay

A map this size with this much detail suggests:

  • Diverse mission types: Different areas will offer completely different gameplay
  • Exploration rewards: With this much space, there better be stuff worth finding
  • Transportation variety: You’ll need boats, cars, bikes, and probably planes to get around efficiently

The Community’s Map-Building Effort

The GTA Forums crowd is going absolutely mental trying to piece together the full map from trailer shots. ViceMapping and crew have identified over 20 distinct neighborhoods so far, and they’re not even close to done.

Based on what they’ve found, this isn’t just “GTA Vice City but bigger” - it’s a complete reimagining of South Florida as a proper modern open world.

Reality Check

Look, Rockstar’s always been good at making impressive-looking maps, but the question is: will it feel alive or just look pretty?

GTA 5’s Los Santos was huge but felt empty in a lot of places. If they can make this 3x bigger map feel as dense and interactive as the smaller areas in their best games, we’re in for something special.

From what we’ve seen, they’re at least trying - NPCs are doing actual activities, traffic looks dense, and the world seems to react to what’s happening around it.

Bottom Line

Modern Vice City looks like it’s gonna be everything we wanted the original to be but couldn’t achieve with 2002 hardware. Whether it’ll live up to the hype remains to be seen, but the foundation looks solid.

Vice City is shaping up to be the most detailed and ambitious open world ever created. Every location shown in the trailers hints at the incredible scale and attention to detail we can expect on May 26, 2026.
